Copenhagen and Our First APHC Show on the Cruise

After sailing from Dover on Saturday we docked in Copenhagen today and all of us had a chance to enjoy this charming and beautiful city.

The ensemble had to be back to the ship a bit earlier than everyone else to rehearse with Garrison Keillor and the rest of the APHC talent. The ship’s showroom can only accommodate about ½ of the APHC fans on the ship so there are two shows scheduled each night.

The ensemble performed a lovely Danish work “xxx” and later a German drinking song by Mendelossohn (we left Copenhagen this evening and arrive in Warnemunde, Germany early tomorrow morning). Finally, they performed a new arrangement of a lovely American hymn “How Can I Keep from Singing” arranged by Dr. Stephen Caracciolo.

Tomorrow the ship is in port for a long day, so there is only a late-night sing-a-long scheduled, but the ensemble will be back with Garrison on Wednesday evening when we are at sea and traveling to Tallinn, Estonia.
